Dalva is a port house of which we’re very fond in Portvinsbaren. At this tasting you’ll experience why.

Dalva was founded in 1862 under the name Corrêa Ribeiro e Filhos. In 1933 it was acquired by Clemente da Silva, who renamed the house “Dalva” as a contraction of his last name. Since, the house has grown much and received widespread recognition, among other things as an official supplier to the Portuguese Royal House.
Dalva is especially known for their colheitas. Colheitas are ports, that are made from grapes from only a single year. In contrast to 10 year, 20 year etc., these wines show what a single year has to offer. For this reason they are especially interesting.
On November 10th 2026 at 7 pm we’re being paid a visit at Portvinsbaren by Tomas from Dalva, who’s hosting a Dalva tasting. During the tasting we’ll serve 6 different Dalva ports. Tomas will guide us through the wines while telling us about Dalva’s interesting history and how they make their ports. If you want to participate in the tasting, you can find tickets below.
